28-year-old Sedalia woman arrested during a traffic stop Friday

At 11:28 Friday morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle with no plates at 28th and Washington. A check on the driver, 28-year-old Elizabeth Esqueda of Sedalia had a probation violation warrant out of Johnson County. At the time of the police report Esqueda was in the Pettis County jail pending a $25,000 cash only bond.

Two people arrested for non-support of a child Saturday morning

Around 10:15 Saturday morning Sedalia police were investigating an accident in the 300 block of North Prospect, when they made contact with two subjects with warrants. According to the police report a check on 33-year-old Janice Kay Lemon, and 35-year-old Robert Gene Stoneking Jr. found they both had active warrants for non-support of a child. Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending cash only bonds of $2500 each.

64-year-old Sedalia man on a motor scooter fails to stop at a stop light

At 9:38 Saturday morning Sedalia Police arrested 64-year-old Robert G. Chambers for failing to stop at a stoplight at Broadway and Kentucky. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail, where he was booked and released with a court date.

Victim reports an assault with a truck Saturday night

Just after 9pm Saturday night Sedalia police took an assault with a vehicle complaint from a subject. According to the victim and witnesses a suspect in a truck rammed their vehicle on Winchester Drive.
The suspect had not been located at the time of the police report. There were no injuries reported in the incident.

Theft Complaints over the weekend

At 4:30am this (Monday) morning Sedalia police received a theft complaint from a resident in the 1000 block of South Ohio. According to the complainant someone stole a motorcycle valued at $7000 from their front yard.

Just before 7pm Saturday evening a woman reported a duffel bag was taken from her vehicle while it was parked at the Walmart Store. Value of the bag and its contents was placed at $300.

A tree stand valued at just under $60 was reported stolen over the weekend. The victim told the police they had just purchased the tree stand at another store, and came to the Walmart store to do some more shopping. The thieves took the tree stand from the back of a their pickup as they shopped.

A High-Point C( 9mm pistol was reportedly stolen from a residence in the 200 block of East 6th Friday morning. The victim said the thief took the gun from a safe in their houst. The police report states there is a suspect in the case. The pistol had a value of $159.
