Warrant check nets two suspects early Sunday morning

At 11:30 Sunday morning the Sedalia Police responded to a storage unit at 3505 Greenridge on a suspect with a warrant. Upon arrival officers made contact with the suspect who gave them a false name. The suspect’s identity was finally confirmed as 33-year-old Anthony Eugene Reed of Sedalia according to the police report. Reed was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail on the no-bond warrant. He was placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, and identity theft 2nd degree for a subsequent offence. A passenger 34-year-old Carla Renee Meek of Sedalia was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, and methamphetamine. The police report states a handgun was also found in her purse. At the time of the police report Meek was on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Man wearing a military style camouflage suit arrested on multiple charges Saturday morning

Around 1:30 Saturday morning Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 100 block of west Cooper on a report of a suspect attempting to enter a front door of a residence. Upon arrival the victim told the officers the man was wearing a Ghillie Suit, which is a military style uniform covered with twigs and leaves that snipers use. The police report states the suspect identified as 38-year-old Shawn William Miller of Sedalia was located in a yard nearby and arrested. Miller who was reportedly intoxicated was transported to the Pettis County jail where he was also found to be in possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. He was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

28-year-old Stover man arrested on multiple charges following a shoplifting incident Friday

Just after 1:30 Friday afternoon Sedalia Police were called to the Walmart Store on a shoplifter being held by Walmart personnel for shoplifting. The police report states when the suspect 28-year-old Joshua W. Sullivan of Stover saw the officer he ran from the scene. The officer chased Sullivan to the Thompson Hills Shopping Lot where he jumped into a vehicle and attempted to hide. The officer stopped the vehicle and arrested Sullivan, and transported him to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of shoplifting, resisting arrest, and 2nd degree tampering with property of another. The police report states the driver of the vehicle had no relationship to the suspect.

Traffic stop on West Main results in arrest for a 20-year-old female

At 11:47 Friday night Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at main and Moniteau for no license plate light. A check through dispatch revealed the driver 20-year-old Lauren A. Davis of Sedalia revealed she was suspended. At the time of the police report Davis was in the Pettis County jail pending a $533.50 bond.

Oklahoma man arrested for shoplifting at Walmart Friday

On Friday Sedalia police arrested 22-year-old Christopher A. Onofrio of Edmond Oklahoma for shoplifting at the Walmart store. Onofrio was booked and released with a court date.

45-year-old Rural Sedalia woman arrested at Walmart for shoplifting

Just after 8pm Sunday night Sedalia police responded to the Walmart  Store on a shoplifter. Upon arrival officers arrested 45-year-old Donna R. Hall of Rural Sedalia, and transported her to the Pettis County Jail pending a $533.50 bond for shoplifting.
