Afternoon: Sedalia Police Crime Reports For November 19, 2014
Sedalia Man arrested for a parole violation during a traffic stop Tuesday
At 4:37 Tuesday afternoon the Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle for disobeying the traffic light at Broadway and Winchester Avenues. Upon contact with the occupants of the vehicle it was discovered one of them had a parole violation warrant. At the time of the police report the suspect identified as 39-year-old Albert L. Willis of Sedalia was being held in the Pettis County Jail on the no-bond warrant.
Vehicle stop this (Wednesday) morning lands a Sedalia Man in jail
Around 4am this (Wednesday) morning the Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at Main and State Fair Blvd. for speeding, and failing to signal a turn. A check through dispatch revealed the driver 32-year-old Earnest Lee Brown of Sedalia had an active warrant out of Pettis County. Brown was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $2000 cash bond and a $2500 surety bond on the failure to appear warrant.
19-year-old Smithton Man arrested on warrants this (Wednesday) morning
At 9:30 this (Wednesday) morning the Sedalia Police arrested 19-year-old Alexander S. Admire of Smithton at the Sedalia Police Department on two-active Pettis County Warrants. Admire was taken to the Pettis County jail pending bonds totaling $1010 on the failure to appear warrants
Woman’s dog chases a vandal away Tuesday night
Just after 9pm Tuesday night a female victim in the 1500 block of East 6th called the Sedalia Police about some suspicious activity around her residence. Upon arrival at the scene the woman told the officers she believed her dog chased the suspect from the area. When the woman checked her vehicle someone had written on it with a permanent marker. The police report states there was information on a possible suspect.
Cell phone reported stolen from a female victim this (Wednesday) morning
Around 9:30 this (Wednesday) morning a female victim reported her cell phone was stolen by suspects known to her. An investigation is ongoing at news time.
