Sedalia Police Report states a 7 year-old boy tests positive for drugs

At 8am Wednesday morning the Sedalia Police Department received a referral from the Children’s Division. According to the referral a hair follicle test of a 7-year-old rural Sedalia boy came back positive for amphetamine, and methamphetamine. According to the report the victim lives on Goodwill Chapel Road South of Sedalia. The police report also states the case was handed over to the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department since it was not in their jurisdiction. The case is currently being investigated.

Vehicle stop this (Friday) morning results in arrest of a homeless man

Around 4:24 this (Friday) morning Sedalia Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at 17th and Moniteau for expired registration. During an investigation K9 Unit “Charlie” alerted on the vehicle. Officers located a controlled substance on the passenger’s side floor, and arrested the passenger, 51-year-old Deno Dean McCracken a homeless man. Following McCracken’s arrest he was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. At the time of the police report he was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County jail pending formal charges.

48-year-old Sedalia woman arrested on drug related charges this (Friday) morning

Just after midnight this (Friday) morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at St. Louis Street and Washington Avenue. A subsequent search found a passenger 48-year-old Janice A.M. Bryan of Sedalia was in possession of marijuana, and a digital scale with methamphetamine on it. Bryan was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of possession of synthetic narcotics ( Demerol, and Methado) possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Woman on East 6th reports an obscene message written on her vehicle

Just before 5am this (Friday) morning Sedalia Police responded to a property damage complaint in the 1500 block of East 6th. Upon arrival the female victim reported someone had written an obscene message on her vehicle, that was parked in her driveway. There were no suspects at news time.
