Warrensburg woman arrested at Walmart on stealing and drug related charges

Around 6:22 Saturday evening Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Walmart store on a theft complaint. Upon arrival the Asset Protection Agent told the officer, that the suspect, 25-year-old Samantha Jo Smith of Warrensburg had attempted to steal items from the store. The police report states Smith was also found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. At the time of the police report Smith was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges of stealing, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of synthetic narcotics ( Demerol and Methado).

Sedalia woman arrested on multiple warrants this (Monday) morning

At 7:39 this (Monday) morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Summit. A subsequent check through dispatch revealed that 25-year-old Chelsea Vinson of Sedalia had multiple warrants. At the time of the police report she was in  the Pettis County Jail pending bonds totaling $6098.50.

Sedalia man arrested on a failure to appear warrant Sunday afternoon

At 12:45 Sunday afternoon Sedalia Police arrested 38-year-old Mark Allen Lancaster of Sedalia on a failure to appear warrant. Bond was set at $88.50.

Thefts and Burglary Complaints

Just before 8am this (Monday) morning Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 600 block of West Main. According to the victim his garage had been burglarized, and a vehicle was stolen. There were no suspects at news time.

At 5:11 Thursday evening Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 200 block of South Quincy. The victim told the officers someone had broken a window, and entered his residence. The thief reportedly stole a $100 tool box, and $60 worth of camping chairs. There are no suspects at news time.

A White Bashan Scooter was stolen from a yard at 4th and Thompson Sunday. There is a suspect in that case according to the police report.

On Sunday a victim in the 1100 block of East 6th reported his residence had been entered overnight, and he found items broken as well as some stolen. There was no information on a possible suspect.

On Friday a man reported when he attempted to get cable turned on at his new apartment, Charter Cable informed him, that someone using the same social security number had an outstanding bill of $481.99. There was no other information in the police report.
