Traffic stop results in a drug related summons for a 19-year-old Sedalia Youth

At 10:32 Monday night Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle near Autumn and Spring Streets for failure to signal a turn. As the officer approached the vehicle the odor of marijuana was detected. The police report states the driver 19-year-old Samuel Hester of Sedalia admitted he had just smoked marijuana, and that there was a pipe still in the vehicle. Hester was issued a Municipal Summons for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Vehicle theft reported on West Main this (Tuesday) morning

Just after 8am this (Tuesday) morning Sedalia Police took a theft complaint for a male victim. According to the victim his 2000 Ford Taurus was stolen from the 1100 block of West Main. The victim said the vehicle was not drivable at the time it was stolen. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

Vehicle damaged in the area of 4th and Missouri

Around 7:15 Sunday morning a victim in the area of 4th and Missouri reported his 2004 Ford Truck was damaged sometime overnight. According to the police report the left front quarter panel was damaged while the truck was parked on Missouri Avenue. There was no estimate on the damage to the vehicle, and no suspect information was included in the police report.

Casey’s at 3050 South Limit reported a gas drive off in the amount of $77 Monday morning. There were no suspects at news time.
