42-year-old Sedalia man arrested for assault and felonious restraint Saturday

Around 2pm Saturday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of South Sneed for a wellbeing check on a female living at the residence. According to the police report upon arrival officers observed the female lying on the floor crying in pain. She was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for medical attention. Arrested in the incident was 42-year-old Arlando Staten. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of 2nd degree domestic assault, felonious restraint. Another police report states bond on the assault charge is set at $15,000.

Disturbance call results in arrest for a 23-year-old man

Friday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 2400 block of West Main on a disturbance in progress. Prior to arrival at the scene dispatch informed the officers a male subject had kicked a window, and was attempting to pull a female subject out. Upon arrival the disturbance was still in progress between the man and woman. Arrested in the incident was 23-year-old Edgar Carlos. Carlos was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $283 bond for private peace disturbance.

30-year-old female arrested in a domestic assault Monday afternoon

Just before 4pm Monday afternoon Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 1600 block of West 16th following a 911 hang up. Upon arrival officers made contact with a male subject who reportedly had multiple marks on him.  The male victim told the officers he had been fighting with his girlfriend. 30-year-old Shawnna Akers of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail where she was placed on 24-hour hold on a charge of 3rd degree domestic assault.

Sedalia man arrested a 35-year-old Sedalia man for stealing Monday night

At 8:20 Monday night Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Smoker’s Outlet located at 1700 East Broadway on a disturbance. Upon arrival officers made contact with a subject outside the store that employees of Smoker’s Outlet said had taken items from the store without paying. Following investigation officers arrested 35-year-old Shawn Roberts of Sedalia, and transported him to the Pettis County Jail pending a $533.50 bond. The police report states the stolen items were recovered.

Warrant check nets a 37-year-old suspect Saturday evening

Saturday evening Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 1000 block of West 9th on a subject with a failure to appear warrant. Following confirmation of the warrant, 37-year-old Kenneth Moore of the residence was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a $5000 bond.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputy arrests

Just before 11pm Saturday night Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Roy D. Sisemore of Sedalia on multiple charges including burglary, trespassing, tampering with a motor vehicle, and attempt to steal.

Late Friday night Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jacqueline Hannah on an active Benton County Warrant.

Traffic stop Saturday morning results in arrest for a Green Ridge man

Just after 8am Saturday morning Sedalia Police observed a vehicle make a right hand turn at Broadway and Massachusetts where a sign states no right turns. The vehicle was stopped at 3rd and Lafayette, and an investigation revealed the driver 41-year-old Richard Carlos Rodriguez of Green Ridge was revoked. At the time of the police report Rodriguez was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County jail pending formal charges.

19-year-old Maria Guadulupe Hernandez of Sedalia was arrested in the 300 block of Scott Joplin Court on a failure to appear warrant with an $88.50 bond.

39-year-old Barry Keele of Sedalia was arrested for driving while suspended Friday afternoon. He was booked and released pending a court date.

Monday afternoon 48-year-old Juan Carlos Argueta was arrested on a failure to appear warrant, with a bond of $88.50.

Around 1pm Monday afternoon a female victim reported two-women entered her home in the 1200 block of South Sneed and threatened her. The victim also said her purse and car keys are missing.

Friday afternoon a woman in the 100 block of South Ohio reported a man had entered her home without her permission, and she wanted him arrested. The suspect had not been located at news time.

Just after 10am Monday morning Sedalia Police received a report of credit card fraud from a female victim. According to the victim someone in Colorado Springs is using her credit card to make gold equipment purchases. The incident is underway.
