Sedalia man arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop Monday afternoon
At 1:32 Monday afternoon Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at Booneville and Hurley Avenue for improper registration. Upon contact with the driver, 35-year-old Gary Allen McKinsey of Sedalia he was found to have an active warrant out of Sedalia. McKinsey was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending an $88.50 cash only bond.
Burglary reported in the 1400 block of West 5th Monday afternoon
Around 1:30 Monday afternoon a victim in the 1400 block of West 5th reported someone had entered his home and removed more than $2500 worth of household items. There was no information on a possible suspect at news time.
Found items turned into the police department on Monday
On Monday the Sedalia Police Department reported two items had been turned in at the police station. A key was found in the parking lot at Centennial Park Monday morning, and Monday evening a wallet was found in the area of the Walmart. Both items are at the police station awaiting the owners.
