4 suspects arrested during a disturbance investigation on East 12th

At 3:32am this (Friday) morning Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 1000 block of East 12th on a disturbance. Upon arrival officers made contact with 4-suspects who were arrested during an investigation. The police report states 21-year-old James Marlon Curd of Sedalia was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of resisting and interfering with arrest, a felony. Curd was also found to have a failure to appear warrant. 27-year-old Sarah Bartlett of Sedalia, and 20-year-old Cheyenne Smith of Lamonte were arrested on charges of failure to obey resisting arrest, and public peace disturbance. They were transported to the Pettis County jail pending $816.50 bond each. 26-year-old Daniel Wallace of Sedalia was arrested on a charge of peace disturbance with a bond of $533.50.

Driver and passenger arrested during a traffic stop this (Friday) morning

Just before 7am this (Friday) morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle that was reportedly speeding in the area of 4th and Grand. The police report states the vehicle had sped away when officers attempted to stop it. The vehicle then struck a parked vehicle. The driver parked, and he and a passenger got out of the vehicle at which time the officer stated alcohol was detected on the driver’s breath. The driver identified as 20-year-old Joshua Michael Larson of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of failure to stop and obey directions from a patrol officer, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving while intoxicated prior offender. The passenger, 20-year-old Zachary Nicholas Lynn Stafford of Sedalia was found to have a parole and probation warrant. At the time of the police report he was being held in the Pettis County jail pending a $3000 bond.

63-year-old Sedalia man arrested for a probation violation Thursday night

Around 10:30 Thursday night Sedalia Police were dispatched to investigate a suspicious person. Upon contact with the suspect, 63-year-old Wayne Fredrick Crump of Sedalia he was found to have a probation violation. Crump was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $4500 bond.
