Homeless man arrested on a Jefferson City warrant

Just after midnight this (Tuesday) morning Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 500 block of South Ohio. Upon contact with the suspect, 51-year –old Alvin O Brown Jr. a homeless person, he was found to have a warrant out of Jefferson City. Brown was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $2221.00 bond. The police report states Jefferson City will extradite Brown.

Traffic stop results in arrest for a Sedalia man Monday morning

At 9:30 Monday morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 16th and State Fair Blvd. for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the driver, 28-year-old Niaz Mohammod Kahn of Sedalia he was found to be suspended. Bond was set at $533.50 in the case.

Thieves target man’s motorcycle in the 3100 block of Brianna Drive

Around 4:50 Monday evening Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 3100 block of Brianna Drive on a theft complaint. Upon arrival the victim told the officers, that sometime overnight someone stole his 2009 Silver Suzuki GSXR 1300 Hayabusa Motor Cycle valued at $8500. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

Medication reported stolen from a victim in the 2300 block of East 16th Monday night

At 10:47 Monday night a victim in the 2300 block of East 16th reported some of her medication had been stolen. According to the victim the theft took place sometime after 8am Saturday morning. There were no suspects in the case.

This (Tuesday) morning a non-driver’s license was found in the 800 block of West 4th. The card was turned into the Sedalia Police, and has been placed in found property at the station.
