Sedalia man arrested Tuesday evening for drug and weapon related charges

At 5:47 Tuesday evening Sedalia Police responded to an apartment in the 300 block of Buckner Court on a disturbance. Upon arrival the officers reportedly smelled the odor of Marijuana coming from the apartment. A subsequent search of the apartment resulted in the arrest of 29-year-old Desmond M. White of the residence, on charges of possession of marijuana, and felon in possession of a firearm. At the time of the police report White was on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

26-year-old Sedalia woman arrested for child neglect Monday morning

Just before 10am Monday morning Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check on a subject in the 700 block of West Heard. Following confirmation of the warrant the suspect identified as 26-year-old Frances Darline Chowning of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a charge of child neglect. Bond was set at $3500.

Concordia man arrested Tuesday night for a Sedalia failure to appear warrant

Around 9:30 Tuesday evening Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Saline/Pettis County Line on a subject with a Sedalia warrant. According to the police report Sweet Springs Police transferred custody of 34-year-old Corey L. Jones of Concordia to the Sedalia Police Department. At the time of the police report Jones was in the Pettis County jail pending an $88.50 cash only bond for failure to appear.

Man in the 300 block of East Saline reports a male suspect pointed a gun at him

At 11:38am Monday morning Sedalia Police investigated a disturbance involving a weapon in the 300 block of East Saline. Upon arrival the victim told the officers a male and female pulled up in front of his house, and started arguing that someone owned them money. During the argument the male suspect pointed a gun at the victim, and made additional threats. The police report states the suspects have been identified, and an investigation continues in the case.

Property damage complaint filed Tuesday in the 1400 block of South Limit

Just before noon Tuesday morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to the State Fair Laundromat at 1400 South Limit on a property damage complaint. Upon arrival the victim reported the rear window of her vehicle had been shattered. There was no information on a possible suspect, and no estimate was available on the damage to the vehicle.

Theft Complaints received by the Sedalia Police Department

Around 5pm Tuesday evening a victim in the 300 block of East 11th reported a shed on his property had been broken into, and a Rolling Tool Cabinet valued at around $1700 was stolen. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.
At 5:30 Tuesday evening Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from a man in the 2600 block of Woodlawn. According to the man he located items belonging to him at a local Pawn shop. The victim believes the suspect is a person who lived at his residence previously. Value of the items was placed at $300. The theft is under investigation.

A female victim reported the license plates on a vehicle parked in the back yard of her residence, in the 200 block of West 6th were stolen sometime over the past few days. No suspect information was in the report.
