Teen arrested after he calls the police on himself

At 1:07 Wednesday afternoon Sedalia Police received a call from a subject that he had a gun, and was under the Washington Street Bridge, and they should respond. Upon arrival the officers located 17-year-old Cody A. Edgar of Sedalia, and he ran towards them with a pipe. The police report states Edgar stopped, but refused to drop the weapon. Edgar was tased to end the incident safely. At the time of the police report Edgar was on 24-hour hold pending charges of assault on a law enforcement officer 2nd degree, and resisting arrest.

Man arrested on drug related charge after failing to use a crosswalk

Around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon Sedalia Police stopped 52-year-old Daniel R. Strunk of Sedalia in the area of 6th and Ohio for failing to use a crosswalk. During an investigation Strunk was found to be in possession of a dangerous non-narcotic drug. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Vandals cause a large amount of damage at the old Jenny Jayne’s Stadium

At 10:23 Wednesday night a witness reported they had observed two-subjects enter the announcers booth at Jenny Jayne’s Stadium, and then heard several loud noises. The witness said the two subjects then left the stadium. The police report states they found a large amount of damage had been done to the announcer’s booth. There was no other information in the police report.
