Just after 7pm Wednesday night Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 16th and Ohio for disobeying a stop sign, and no license plate light. During the traffic stop the officer reportedly detected the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle, which the report states came from a passenger. The passenger identified as 28-year-old Jacob Michael Snyder of Sedalia was also found to have a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of assault. Snyder was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $500 cash only bond on the warrant. He was booked and released with a court date on the drug related charge.

Grandview woman arrested in an alcohol theft Wednesday morning

At 8:49 Wednesday morning Sedalia Police investigated a theft of alcohol from a business in the 1400 block of South Limit. The police report states an investigation revealed the suspect identified as 17-year-old Lashante N. Potts of Grandview. Potts was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $533.50 bond on a stealing charge.

Booneville man arrested for driving while suspended Wednesday night

Around 9:40pm Wednesday night Sedalia Police Stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Sunset for improper registration. A check on the driver 35-year-old Shane M. Doyle of Booneville found he was driving while suspended. At the time of the police report Doyle was in the Pettis County Jail pending a $533.50 bond.

Vehicle collides with a garage causing $2000 in damages Wednesday night

Just before 9pm Wednesday night Sedalia Police investigated a hit and run accident in the 800 block of East 11th. According to the victim a vehicle collided with their garage, and caused $2000 worth of damage to the structure. There were no suspects at newstime.
