43-year-old Sedalia man arrested on drug related charges Wednesday

According to a Sedalia police Department press release Detectives with the Drug Enforcement Unit stopped a vehicle at west Pettis and north Moniteau for equipment violations. Upon contact with the driver of the vehicle, 43-year-old George W. Mobley of Sedalia he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, and related drug paraphernalia. At the time of the police report Mobley was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County jail pending formal charges.

Burglary call results in arrest for a suspect with a warrant Saturday morning

At 4:46am Saturday morning the Sedalia Police Department received a call from a residence in the 300 block of north Mill. Upon arrival the caller told the officers they knew the suspect but did not want him there at the time. During a check on the suspect he gave officers a name that was not his. After securing the suspect’s real name as 26-year-old Anthony Terrell Jones of Sedalia he was found to have an active Pettis County Warrant with a $3500 bond. Jones was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending the bond, and formal charges of identity theft.

Sedalia man arrested Tuesday night on a Probation Violation Warrant

At 9:20pm Tuesday night Sedalia Police arrested 24-year-old Michael Anthony High-Frump of Sedalia on a probation violation warrant out of Pettis County. High-Frump was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $2500 bond.

Two Sedalia Businesses report property damage to the Sedalia Police

This (Thursday) morning the Sedalia Police received a property damage complaint from the Law Firm of Fritz and Luper at 200 west 4th. According to the police report the Charter Cable Box was torn off of the back of the building causing an interruption to communication for the business. Wednesday afternoon a business located at 712 south Ohio reported the same thing had happened at their business, when vandals tore the Charter Cable Box off of that building sometime between noon on Monday, and 9am Wednesday morning. There were no suspects in the cases at news time.

A bicycle was reportedly found yesterday morning in the 1800 block of west 5th. The bike was taken to the Sedalia Police Department's shed.
