Afternoon Sedalia Police Crime Reports For Thursday June 4, 2015

Sedalia man in jail on two-failure to appear warrants

At 10:12am Wednesday) morning Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at a residence in the 1100 block of east 15th. Upon arrival officers made contact with the suspect 22-year-old Michael Dean Burgess of the residence. A check through dispatch confirmed a Sedalia City Warrant, and a Pettis County Warrant for failure to appear. Burgess was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a total bond of $477 cash only on the warrants.

Thieves sought for stealing from the Break Time Store at 318 West Broadway

Around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Break Time at 318 West Broadway on a theft complaint. Upon arrival the complainant told the officer the suspects walked around the store putting items in their pockets and purse, then left without paying for the items. At the time of the police report the suspects had not been located.
