35-year-old Sedalia woman charged with child endangerment Monday morning
At 10:44 Monday morning Sedalia Police arrested 35-year-old Athlene A. Blevins of Sedalia for endangering the welfare of a child 1st degree, and unlawful transactions with a child. The police report states Blevins admitted to allowing drug activity to take place around her three children. At the time of the police report she was in the Pettis County jail pending $5000 bond.

Local business target of thieves early this (Tuesday) morning

Around 3:20 this (Tuesday) morning Sedalia Police responded to an alarm at Jimmy John’s located at 2923 West Broadway. Upon arrival officers found that a rock had been thrown through the East Window of the business to gain entry. According to the police report a safe was found open, and $1234.65 in cash was stolen. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

Theft attempt on East Broadway results in $300 damage to a victim’s car

Just before 8pm Monday night Sedalia Police investigated a property damage complaint in the 600 block of East Broadway. According to the victim thieves attempted to enter her vehicle by prying open the trunk. The victim estimated the damage to the vehicle at approximately $300. There were no suspects at news time.

Hit and Run accidents reported to the Sedalia Police Department

Saturday afternoon a hit and run accident involving a parked vehicle was reported in the 2900 block of West Broadway. The police report states there may be security camera video of the accident.

At 8:19 Monday night a utility pole that was struck in the area of State fair Blvd, and Broadway Blvd. was reported to the Sedalia Police by witnesses. The suspect reportedly fled the scene, and no arrest had been made at news time.
