Afternoon: Sedalia Police Crime Reports for Tuesday June 30, 2015
21-year-old Sedalia man arrested on drug related charges Monday afternoon
At 1:22 Monday afternoon Sedalia Police were reportedly assisting another agency in a criminal investigation in the 400 block of east Booneville. The police report states during the investigation officers searched a vehicle, and found methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. Arrested at the scene was 21-year-old Joshua R. Phillips of Sedalia. At the time of the police report Phillips was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail pending drug related charges.
Sedalia Police are investigating a parental kidnapping case
Around 2:15 Monday afternoon Sedalia Police were investigating a child custody case at the Division of Family Services. According to the police report three children were in the custody of the state, and were taken out of state by their parents. The case is classified as parental kidnapping on the police report.
Local business reports computer data stolen
Just before 11:30 Monday morning Sedalia Police responded to State Fair Quick Lube located at 1704 West 32nd on a theft complaint. Upon arrival the victim told the officers sensitive computer data has been taken from the business.
Female complainant reports being harassed via social media
Monday afternoon Sedalia Police took a harassment complaint from a female victim in the 400 block of East 2nd. The victim reportedly received 9 messages over the past 7-days, and does not want them to continue. There was no information on a suspect in the case.
A hit and run accident was reported in the 700 block of east 24th Monday night. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.
