Afternoon Sedalia Police Crime Reports For March 1, 2016

Around 2:40 Monday afternoon, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 12th and Marvin with a driver who was suspended. Arrested at the scene was 24-year-old Anastasia Esther Walters of Sedalia. Walters was transported to the Pettis County Jail where she was booked and released with a court date.

Officers respond to a report of gunshots Monday night

At 8:25 Monday night Sedalia Police responded to the 200 block of South Stewart on a report of gunshots. Upon arrival the officers found shell casings. There were no victims or suspects at the time of the police report.

Caller reports a suicidal subject Monday night

Just before 8:30pm Monday night Sedalia Police responded to a report of a possible suicide attempt by a subject in the 100 block of east 3rd. Upon arrival the officers made contact with the subject, who told them he did not tell the caller he would commit suicide. The police report states due to the intoxicated condition of the subject, he was placed in protective custody for a 12-hour hold pending sobriety.
