Police crime scene

Just before 11am Monday morning, the Sedalia police were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of West Broadway to investigate the theft of credit cards. Upon arrival, the caller told the officers a client in the building had the credit cards, and he believed they were stolen. Upon contact with the suspect she told them she had taken the cards from a person working for the Salvation Army. The owner of the cards was contacted, and told the officers she thought she had misplaced the cards. A check with the credit card companies showed there were several charges made over the weekend on the cards. 18-year-old Nicole M. Williams of the residence was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. At the time of the police report she was on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Sedalia woman arrested Monday morning for a failure to appear warrant

Around 9am on Monday Sedalia Police made contact with a woman with an active warrant. The police had been called to the area of 14th and Collins on a disturbance, and found the suspect identified as 24-year-old Carmen A. Thompson of Sedalia had a confirmed failure to appear warrant on an original charge of speeding. Thompson was arrested, and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $150 bond.
