Adult and juvenile assault a man in the 500 block of East 5th Monday

At 2:40 Monday afternoon Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 700 block of East 5th on a reported assault. Upon arrival the male victim said he had been assaulted in the 500 block of East 5th, by two suspects. The police report states the victim had obvious wounds to his head. The suspects an adult male identified as 47-year-old Bob J. Mendiola, and a male juvenile were located. Mendiola was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending a charge of 2nd degree assault. The juvenile was released to his mother at the police station.

Revoked driver arrested Monday morning after making an improper turn

Around 8am Monday morning Sedalia police observed a vehicle exit the parking lot of Pittsburg Corning in the 2700 block of West 16th, and make an improper turn. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and upon contact with the driver, 25-year-old David Glenn Woolery of rural Sedalia he was found to be revoked. Woolery was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released pending formal charges.

18-year-old driver arrested for driving while revoked during a traffic stop

Just before 8pm Monday night Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 13th and Moniteau for expired registration. Upon contact with the driver 18-year-old Brandon M. Markell he was found to be revoked. Markell was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $533.50 bond.

Inappropriate texts and e-mails sent to a woman’s juvenile daughter

Monday morning a woman on East 24th reported her juvenile daughter has been receiving inappropriate texts and e-mails from a male subject. The police report states the mother gave the cell phone to the Sedalia Police as evidence, and an investigation is ongoing.

Sedalia man reportedly robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning

Early Sunday morning a male victim reported he had been robbed of $150 at gunpoint in the area of North Missouri and Cooper Avenue. The victim was able to give officers a description of the suspect, but he had not been located at the time of the police report.

Dog bite reported in the Liberty Park area Monday morning

At 11:25 Monday morning a female victim reported she had been bitten by a dog on the North side of Liberty Park, by a dog owned by a person in that area. There was no information on the severity of the dog bite. The incident is being investigated by the animal control officer.

Bikes reportedly stolen from the 300 block of South Lamine

Two bikes valued collectively at $300 were reported stolen from a residence in the 1300 block of South Lamine Saturday evening. There were no suspects in the thefts.
Thieves steal yard ornaments from a yard on East 6th

At 7:06 Monday morning a female victim in the 2000 block of East 6th filed a theft complaint with the Sedalia Police. According to the victim thieves stole several yard ornaments valued at over $250 from her yard.
