Sedalia man arrested pending city stealing charges

At 1:38 Tuesday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to the FAV Trip at 216 West Broadway on a theft complaint. Upon arrival the complainant reported 15 packages of Swisher Sweet Cigars were taken. Following an investigation 23-year-old Michael Carpenter of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending the filing of formal charges.

Bicyclist arrested on a failure to appear warrant Tuesday night

Just after 8pm Tuesday night Sedalia Police conducted a subject check on a bicyclist at 4th and Engineer. A subsequent computer check revealed the man identified as 52-year-old Edward George Oconnell Jr. of Sedalia had a failure to appear warrant out of Pettis County. Oconnell was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $5000 bond.

Warrant check results in arrest for a suspect Monday morning

Around 10am Monday morning Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at a residence in the 600 block of North Prospect. Upon arrival the officer made contact with the suspect 25-year-old Lindsey Keeling of Sedalia, who was found to have an active failure to appear warrant with a $150 cash only bond.

Police investigate thefts from a rental home

Just before 4pm Tuesday afternoon A victim in the 200 block of East Cooper reported a rental house in that area was missing $1000 worth of appliances. The police report states the victim provided information on a suspect.

Thieves target the American Flag at the entrance to the Industrial Park

Monday afternoon the Economic Development officer at 3615 West Broadway reported the theft of their American flag located at the entrance of the Industrial Park near Curry and Leroy Van Dyke Avenue. Value of the flag is set at $100. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.
