Sexual assault reported to the Sedalia Police Tuesday night

At 7:10 Tuesday night the Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Bothwell Regional Health Center Emergency Room on a reported sex crime. Upon arrival the victim told the officers she was sexually assaulted sometime between 2 and 4am that morning. The police report states the victim has provided information on the suspect. She was treated and released from the hospital according to the report. There was nothing else in the police report at news time.

Two-men are arrested during a disturbance call on  East Saline Tuesday night

Around 10pm Tuesday night Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance possibly with a gun at a residence in the 300 block of East Saline. Upon arrival officers made contact with two of the subjects involved, who told the officers the suspect had ran into a residence up the street saying he had warrants. The report states officers made contact with the suspect identified as 27-year-old Brian Keith Johnson of Sedalia and found he had a warrant out of Boone County with a bond of $5000 cash only.
According to the police report while in the residence the police realized a second suspect with warrants had locked himself in the bathroom. The suspect refused to come out, and the officers were forced to take the door off of the bathroom. At the time of the police report 30-year-old David Jakie Wayne Peak was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail pending charges for 3-active warrants, and resisting arrest a felony.

Suspect caught attempting to break into a home in the 1600 block of West 13th

Just after 6am this (Wednesday) morning Sedalia police investigated a home invasion call at a residence in the 1600 block of West 13th . Upon arrival the officers heard glass breaking in back of the residence, and found the suspect who had not yet made entry to the home. Arrested at the scene was 23-year-old Kalmon John Roth of Green Ridge. At the time of the police report Roth was in Pettis County Jail pending charges of 1st degree burglary, 1st degree property damage, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A Cell Phone has been found in the area of West Broadway and South Sneed. The police report states the phone is at the police station for safe keeping.
