SUV Wrecks a House this (Wednesday) morning

At 1:53am this (Wednesday) morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to the intersection of 10th and Hancock on a hit and run accident. According to the police report an SUV struck a parked vehicle, and a stop sign, then a residence in the 700 block of East 10th. The SUV reportedly came to rest inside a room on the North corner of the home. The vehicle and the home both were extensively damaged in the wreck, but no injuries were reported. The driver of the SUV ran from the scene, and had not been located at the time of the police report.

47-year-old Sedalia man arrested on warrants early this (Wednesday) morning

Around 4:30 this (Wednesday) morning Sedalia Police conducted a vehicle check on a vehicle parked in the alley at 7th and Emmett. A check on the driver 47-year-old Timothy E. Holland of Sedalia, he was found have three Pettis County Warrants for failure to appear. At the time of the police report Holland was in the Pettis County Jail pending a total of $360 bond on the warrants.

Local business burglarized, Thousands of dollars in cash taken

At 7:37am Tuesday morning Sedalia Police investigated a burglary complaint at Otten’s Small Engines located at 2617 East Broadway. According to the victim sometime during the overnight someone forced entry to the business and stole several thousand dollars in cash. There were no suspects at news time.

Woman reports her identification used to get gas service

On Tuesday a victim went to the police department to report someone had used her identity in February of 2015 to obtain gas service from Empire Gas. The woman said when she returned to Sedalia and attempted to get service she was told she had to pay a $535.52 bill the suspect had made before she could get service.
