Sedalia Police are investigating a second reported abuse of a juvenile

At 3:12 Sunday afternoon Sedalia Police received a complaint from the stepmother of a juvenile at a residence in the 700 block of East 9th.  According to the stepmother the juvenile was assaulted by both adults in the house the juvenile lives in.  The police report states the Children’s Division was called, and aided in placing the juvenile with a family member not in that house. An investigation is ongoing in that case. At this time it is not known if this case is connected to an earlier assault case involving a 16-year-old female victim KSIS reported on earlier.

20-year-old Homeless person served a warrant Monday morning

Around 1am Monday morning Sedalia police served a Municipal failure to appear warrant at the Pettis County jail. The suspect identified as 20-year-old Tyler Evans a homeless person. Bond on the warrant was placed at $250 cash only.

Local business reports a theft Monday morning

Just before 1am Monday morning a Complainant with Fitters at 5th and Ohio came to the police station to report a theft, that occurred earlier in the month. According to the complainant on the 4th or 5th of December someone stole a wooden model of a Spanish Warship, that was on display behind the bar of Fitters. There was no estimate of value on the model, and no information on the suspect was available at news time.

Walmart reported a suspect left the store without paying for a television set around 10pm Sunday night.

Sunday evening Breaktime at 3:18 West Broadway reported a suspect stole a woman’s wallet. There is information on the suspect according to the police report.
