Alleged TJ Maxx Thief Arrested

Sedalia Police responded to TJ Maxx, 3105 W. Broadway, on a theft report Sunday evening around 8:15 p.m.

The suspect was seen running from the store with items, according to the report. 36-year-old Jeffrey F. Knifong was arrested at 2910 W. Broadway.

The report stated that Knifong attempted to flee while being arrested. He was later apprehended and taken into
custody.

He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges of shoplifting, 4th degree assault and resisting arrest.
