Allen Dean Nutt, 79

Allen Dean Nutt, 79, of Sunrise Beach, formerly of Houstonia, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at his home.

He was born November 6, 1934, in Houstonia, son of Artie Lee and Myrle Gibson Nutt. On October 11, 1953, in Houstonia, he married Nellie F. Walk, who preceded him in death on June 21, 2005.

Mr. Nutt enjoyed anything outdoors, hunting, fishing or golf. He worked as a homebuilder for many years. He was a member of South Memorial Christian Church in Tulsa, OK.

Surviving are a son, David Nett, and his wife, Penny, of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Derek Nett, and Erica Rhodes, and her husband, Wes; a great-grandson, Clayton Rhodes; and a sister, Ruth Bishop, of Massachusetts.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bernice.

Graveside services and burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Millers Chapel Cemetery, with Jeff Page, Funeral Celebrant officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at Heckart Funeral Home.
