Attorney General Chris Koster Won’t Appeal Ruling on Same-Sex Marriages

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster says he won't appeal a ruling that Missouri must recognize same-sex marriages legally performed in other states. Koster made the announcement after the Supreme Court turned away appeals from five states seeking to prohibit gay and lesbian marriages. The move effectively makes gay marriage legal in 30 states; Missouri isn't among them.
