Cole Camp Blue Birds Face Smithton Tigers in First Round of District Play

High School basketball is gearing up for district and sectional play. This week, KIX 105 will be following the Cole Camp Bluebirds Boys Basketball Team.  Cole Camp is 20-3 on the season and will take on the Smithton Tigers at 4 p.m. today.

Winter Storm Watch Issued for West Central Missouri

Could the last gasp of winter be coming this week? The National Weather Service is predicting snow to impact this area on Wednesday night (Feb. 20) and Thursday (Feb. 21). A Winter Storm Watch has been issued, and they are projecting that a bulk of the snow should be north of Highway 36, while I-70 and Highway 50 areas could get a lot of ice, sleet and snow.

United Way Recognition

Sedalia-Pettis County United Way Honors Area Agencies and Contributors

The Sedalia/Pettis County United Way held their recognition day for the 2012-2013 Campaign today (Feb. 15). The Campaign fell just shy of the $575,000 goal that was set. Campaign Chair Deidre Esquivel said that that even though it came up short, they will be able to help out the agencies as best they can.
