Four concerts were announced by Missouri State Fair Director Mark Wolfe, completing the series of eight concerts for this year’s State Fair, to be held Aug. 8-18 in Sedalia. Added to the line-up will be the concerts Foreigner and Starship featuring Mickey Thomas Aug. 9, Chubby Checker Aug. 13, Lee Brice and Tyler Farr Aug.15, and rockers Three Days Grace and Hinder Aug. 17. Tickets will be available June 17 through Ticketmaster.com.

The Sedalia Area Farmers’ Market will have its opening day of the 2013 season from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, at the Missouri State Fairgrounds main gate on South Hwy. 65. The market will also be open from 3 to 6 p.m. on Fridays.
