B-2 Spirit Bombers Deploy from Whiteman Air Force Base to Korea

U.S. Strategic Command sent two B-2 Spirit bombers from Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., to the Republic of Korea March 28, for a long-duration, round-trip training mission as part of the ongoing bilateral Foal Eagle training exercise, demonstrating the commitment of the United States and its capability to defend the Republic of Korea and to provide extended deterrence to our allies in the Asia-Pacific region.

Sedalia Police S.T.I.N.G Unit Serves Search Warrant, Find Meth and Packaging Supplies

Just before 11:00 last Sunday morning, the Sedalia Police S.T.I.N.G. Unit along with other law enforcement personnel served a search warrant at Apartment “C” at 501 West 7th.  The police report states that two subjects were in the apartment. Officers located methamphetamine individually packaged for sale, a digital scales, and packaging supplies.

UCM to Host Presentation by Women’s Equality Activist Lilly Ledbetter

Lilly Ledbetter, known for her persistence in actively pursuing the fight to close the wage gap between men and women, will be the keynote speaker for Politics and Social Justice Week at the University of Central Missouri. Ledbetter will speak at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, in Laura J. Nahm Auditorium in the W.C. Morris Science Building.  The public is invited to attend at no charge.

Soldier Stabbed at Clinton National Guard Armory

On Wednesday morning (Mar. 13) at around 10:00 a.m., Clinton Police Officers were dispatched to the National Guard Armory in Artesian Park in reference to a stabbing.  Upon arrival, officers encountered a subject who had been stabbed in the buttocks.  The soldier was transported to the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital by private car and underwent surgery to repair the wound.
