Winter Storm Warning In Effect for Pettis County Throughout the Weekend

The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has issued a Winter Storm Warning for freezing rain and snow, which is in effect from midnight tonight to noon Sunday for portions of Eastern Kansas and Western Missouri, including Pettis County. The winter storm watch is no longer in effect.

UPDATE: The Freezing Rain Advisory issued for Pettis County has been moved from 3 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 20 to 2 a.m. - 9 a.m. Friday morning. Drizzle or light rain will overspread the area late this afternoon/evening and transition over to freezing drizzle or light freezing rain tonight into Friday morning, possibly impacting the morning rush hour Friday.
