Sedalia Democrat Implementing Paywall, Will Charge Users to View Content Online

According to a Facebook post on the Sedalia Democrat's website, the local paper will implement a paywall on their website starting Monday, July 30.  The cost will be $5 a month to view stories on the content.  Subscribers will receive free access to the site.

40th Annual BMW MOA Rally in Full Swing at Missouri State Fairgrounds [PHOTO GALLERY]

The 40th Annual BMW MOA Rally continues through Saturday, July 21, as thousands of riders camp out at the Missouri State Fairgrounds.  The rally includes seminars, workshops, vendors and more.  KSIS visit the fairgrounds on night one of the rally, which is not open to the public. Tragedy at ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Screening As Gunman Kills 12, Injures at Least 50

At least 12 people were killed and 50 injured when someone went into an Aurora, Colorado movie theater during a midnight screening of 'The Dark Knight Rises' Friday morning, fired a smoke grenade and began shooting.

Fire Destroys Mark Twain Apartment Building [AUDIO]

UPDATE: KSIS's Jack Miller spoke with Sedalia Police Battalion Chief Paul Withers this morning (July 19), who updated us on the fire that destroyed the Mark Twain Apartment Building last night. Withers says that the building has not fallen down, and the blaze has been tamed despite several "hot spots" at the building.  Police have blocked off the building  and the public is being asked to avoid the area.

A fire that began around 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19 has destroyed the Mark Twain Apartments Building at 800 West Second Street in Sedalia.  According to officials on the scene, the fire may have started as a result of construction crews working on a tenant's apartment on the upper level of the northeast corner of the building.

Bridge Burns on South Grand Avenue, Fireworks Believed to Have Ignited the Blaze [PHOTOS]

Last night (June 27), Pettis County Fire Fighters were called to a structure fire at a wooden-decked low water crossing on South Grand Avenue.  Firefighters say a large amount of spent firework debris and packaging were found at the bridge, leading them to believe that fireworks ignited the bridge.
