Sedalia Democrat Implementing Paywall, Will Charge Users to View Content Online
According to a Facebook post on the Sedalia Democrat's website, the local paper will implement a paywall on their website starting Monday, July 30. The cost will be $5 a month to view stories on the content. Subscribers will receive free access to the site.

Police responded to a call from Union Pacific Railroad of a woman who had been hit by a train early this morning (July 20) on Sedalia's east side near 4th and Garfield. Witnesses say that the woman stood in front of the train intentionally.

Bridge Burns on South Grand Avenue, Fireworks Believed to Have Ignited the Blaze [PHOTOS]
Last night (June 27), Pettis County Fire Fighters were called to a structure fire at a wooden-decked low water crossing on South Grand Avenue. Firefighters say a large amount of spent firework debris and packaging were found at the bridge, leading them to believe that fireworks ignited the bridge.
