Authorities have arrested four people and are searching for a fifth person in a southwest Missouri homicide.

KYTV reports that the shooting happened early Monday at a home south of Fordland.

Webster County Sheriff Roye Cole says the shooting was related to illegal drugs. Officers arrested three people in Christian County in the hours after the shooting.

Cole says two other people led deputies on a chase before the driver ditched the vehicle on Interstate 44 between Halltown and Mount Vernon in Lawrence County. Officers arrested a woman at the scene but a man in that car took off on foot.

Officers have been searching for him in Halltown in eastern Lawrence County.
