Barbara Lee Coleman, 71

Barbara Lee Coleman, 71, of Green Ridge, MO passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.  She was born on December 30, 1943 in Indianola, IA, a daughter of James and Pearlie (Dix) Hagerman.

On December 23, 1962 at Christ Lutheran Church, Stover, MO, she was united in marriage to Lester Coleman, Jr., who survives of the home.

Barbara enjoyed sewing, cooking, collecting oil lamps and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a member of Manila Homemakers Club, Trustee of the Manila Community Center and attended Antioch Baptist Church, Green Ridge.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two children, James Coleman, Sr. and Robert Coleman both of Green Ridge; three sisters, Mille Jobe of Sedalia, Wanda (Pete) Hilty of Versailles and Connie (Jack) Coontz of Versailles; five grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Tiffany, Jamie and Austin; and ten great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Jerry Hagerman; and two grandchildren, Melissa Coleman and James Coleman, Jr.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Ron Jobe officiating.

Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Burial will be at Antioch Baptist Cemetery, Green Ridge.

Pallbearers will be Austin Coleman, Bruce Killion, Ken Nguyen, Daniel Reynolds, Sgt. Ron Miller and Matt Fischer.

Honorary bearers will be Larry Bailey, Chester Heffner and Christopher Kirk.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Green Ridge School in care of the funeral chapel.
