ecky Ann Merk, 77, of Sedalia, passed away on May 11, 2014, in her home.

She was born May 4, 1937, daughter of Kit King and Mamie Dorothy (Cranfield) Rumans who preceded her in death.

She married Charles Albert Merk on June 6, 1954, in Florence, Missouri. She grew up on a farm in Morgan County and  has resided in Sedalia since 1958. She is 1955 graduate of Stover HS. She is currently a member of First United Methodist Church and was also a long time member of Immanuel United Church of Christ. Becky worked as a secretary.

Survived by husband Charles Merk, son Steven Merk, daughter Kelly (Merk) Moore, son-in-law Bill Moore, grandsons, Christopher (Kit) Moore and Connor Moore. Sister, Evelyn Oehrke and sister- in- law, Beatrice Baughman. Step brothers Jerry Hoehns, Dewey (Dude) Hoehns and Joe Hoehns, Wayne Hoehns and step sister Patsy Lawson. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father Leo Hoehns, two brothers-in-law Leo Oehrke and A Ray Baughman and a step brother Robert Hoehns.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 15, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Downing officiating.

Pallbearers will be Duane Baughman, Craig Rowland, Jerry Hoehns, L.R. Oehrke, Ronnie Oehrke, and Jerry Greer. Honorary bearers will be Paul Culp, Sam Meehan, Dave Meisner, Charlie Hoard, Dave Peterson, and Robert Coffey.

Burial will be in St. John's Evangelical Cemetery in Florence.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Heckart Funeral Home.
