Bette R. Padgett, 94, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012, at the Sylvia G. Thompson Residence
Center.

She was born March 18, 1918, in Sedalia, a daughter of John J. and Beatrice R. Beasmore Lamm. On August 2,
1941, in Sedalia, she married Bill Padgett, who preceded her in death on December 12, 1983.

Mrs. Padgett was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the Helen G. Steele Music Club, Sorosis, Knife and Fork, AARP, and was a honorary member of the Sedalia Chorale. She volunteered with the Bothwell Regional Health Center Auxiliary, Open Door and Meals on Wheels. She attended the Army War College in Washington, D.C. She retired as the Pettis County Clerk. She enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her
family and friends.

Surviving are a son, Gregg Padgett, and his wife, Phyllis, of Sedalia; a grandson, Tim Padgett; two granddaughters, Krista Padgett and Lisa Wilson; five great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Anne Lamm and Kathryn Brosch; and several nieces and nephews who were dear to her.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John "Bud"
Lamm, Mark Lamm and Beasmore Lamm; and two sisters, Virginia Schlobohm and Nettie Baum.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Chaplain Bill Douglas and the Rev. Richard Adams officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be RobertLamm, Robert Schlobohm, Don Cable, William Rezin, Michael Moulton and Christopher Ackerman.

Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.
