Billie Ann Mendoza, 71, of Sedalia, died Friday, September 27, 2013, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia.  She was born on August 18, 1942, at Kansas City, Missouri , a daughter of William McKinley and Mary Irene (Katz) Weaver.

She graduated from Cole Camp High School and on May 11, 1960, in Cole Camp, she was united in marriage to Rufus Henry Brunjes.  This union was blessed with the gift of five children: Cindy, Fay, Mary, Robert, and John. In December of 1983, in Kansas City, she was united in marriage to Rafeal Mendoza, who preceded her in death on December 6, 1992.

Billie attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Sedalia.  She lived in Alma, then Cole Camp for 21 years, and moved to Kansas City in 1983.  In 1994, she moved to Sedalia.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, babysitting, sewing and baking, especially making cinnamon rolls and donuts.

She is survived by: three daughters, Cindy Baethke and her husband Clark of Eudora, KS, Fay Franken and her husband Eric of Lincoln, and Mary Dillon and her husband Mike of Sedalia; one son, John Brunjes of Russell; five step-daughters, Elizabeth Hill and her husband Robert, Dolores Woolery and her husband Robert, and Josie Scribner and her husband Donald, all of Sedalia, Mercy Mota of Wilcox, AZ, and Teresa Acker of Independence; two step-sons, Rafeal Mendoza, Jr. of Kansas City and Manual Mendoza and his wife Vicky of Marshall; one sister, Annie Eckerle of Independence; one sister-in-law, Pat Weaver of Lenexa, KS; twelve grandchildren, Crystal Hinck, Kelli Wright, Kyli Wright, Scott Baethke, Brook Bale, Brandon Bale, Becky Bale, Eric Dillon, Olivia Brunjes, Sydney Brunjes, Wesley Franken, and Kevin Franken; twenty-four step-grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; fifty-two step-great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Weaver, her son, Robert Dale Brunjes, her step-daughter, Carmen Ulmer, three sisters, Theao, Marie, and Edith, and one brother, John Weaver.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Cole Camp, with  Father Mark Miller officiating.  Burial will be in Cole Camp Cemetery, rural Cole Camp.

Vigil services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Cole Camp, Father Mike Murphy officiating, with visitation from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Cole Camp Cemetery or family's choice in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.

Pallbearers will be Scott Baethke, Brandon Bale, Bob Druse, Eric Dillon, Mike Hinck, Gary Viebrock, Billy Viebrock, Austin Bale, Walter Dillon, and Isaiah McNeal.
