Billie D. Pogue, 75, of Clinton, Missouri, formerly of Windsor, Mo., died Monday evening, September 24, 2012, at the Clinton Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Clinton.

She was born February 11, 1937, in Clinton, Mo., the daughter of Daniel Edward Sims and Emma Kathryn (Mertgen) Sims. On August 16, 1971, in Kansas City, Mo., she married Charles Lawrence Pogue and he preceded her in death on January 17, 1990.   Billie grew up in Kansas City, Mo., and spent many summers on the farm with either her grandparents or uncles. She had many jobs throughout her lifetime. She was an LPN, working at nursing homes in Sedalia and various hospitals in the area. She also worked for U.S. Safety (Parmalee) in Kansas City and Windsor for 23 years. Billie was a talented artist and dancer, enjoyed taking care of her pets and working out in her yard.   Survivors include 2 sisters, Judy Bennett, Independence, Mo.; and Linda Boyer, Windsor, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Danny B. Sims; and a sister, Nancy L. Woodall.   Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2012, at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, Mo.
