Blackwater Woman Injured After Hitting Trees

A Blackwater women suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred in Pettis County early this morning.

According to the MSHP, 21-year-old Jessica D. Luscombe of Blackwater was the driver of a southbound 2013 Nissan on US 65 at Thornleigh Road at 5:54 a.m., when the vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a grove of trees.

Luscombe, who was not wearing a safety device according to the report, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by PCAD to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

The Nissan was totaled and towed from the scene. Pettis County deputies assisted the Patrol.
