Bobby Wayne Moore, 84, of Sedalia, died Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Fair View Nursing Home.

He was born April 8, 1931, in Pettis County, a son of the late Joseph Robert and Leone Elizabeth (Shaw) Moore. On January 12, 1952, in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Catherine Ann Bishop, who survives of the home.

He was a 1948 graduate of Smith Cotton High School. Bob served his country honorably in the US Army 1952-1954 and was a paratrooper for the 89th Airborne. He worked 45 years for Pittsburgh Corning, retiring in 1994 as the Industrial Relations Manager.

Bob was a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where he previously served on parish council. In his younger years he served on the Human Rights Commission for the City of Sedalia.

He was a builder and a craftsman. Bob could build anything he put his mind to and do it well. Some of his accomplishments include building two homes, two street rods, cabinets, and the jewelry cases for Reed and Sons Jewelry. He enjoyed playing golf and was a jokester.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Debra Parker and her husband, Mike, of Springfield, MO, Steven Moore and his wife, Gail, of Cincinnati, OH, and Matthew Moore and his wife, Bernice, of Kansas City, MO; three brothers, Dee Moore and Glen Moore, both of Green Ridge, and Donald Moore, of Smithton; two sisters, Betty Lou Moore and Patricia Lynn Groshans, both of Smithton; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Buddy Moore and J.L. Moore.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 am, Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at St. Patrick Church with Father Mark Miller officiating. Rosary will begin at 9:45 am with visitation to follow until service time at the church. Burial will take place at a later date in Calvary Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted at the church immediately following the service.
