When I was younger, I was actually in college to become an English teacher on the high school level. Hard to believe, I know. I chose that path at the time because I was really an avid reader. It's one of those habits that you never should drop as you get older.

While going to the library and checking out books is always a great option, sometimes you just like the feeling of looking at your bookshelf and knowing that you've got plenty of great literature in your house. I know I like to go to sales and get books to replenish the personal library that was destroyed a few years ago. It's cheap, it's easy, and in the instance of the upcoming Cole Camp Boonslick branch, it's helping a great cause!

The Cole Camp Friends of the Library are planning a big book sale and bake sale for the week of April 22. I got to talk with one of the Friends, Amanda Poindexter, about the sale and the updates the library hopes to do.

So why not help the Cole Camp Boonslick branch get some new paint on those walls, while helping your personal library grow a little? The sale will be April 22-26 with hours on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.(and yes, the Library will have the sale on Friday, even though normally the branch is closed that day), and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Get more information by going to their website or calling (660) 668-3887, and you can always go by at 701 W. Main Street in Cole Camp.

Friendly yours,
Behka
