Bothwell Regional Health Center honored the volunteers from the American Red Cross, the Bothwell Auxiliary and the Chaplain Corps, at their annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Monday.

The luncheon took place at First United Methodist Church Celebration Center. Volunteers were recognized for their hours of service to the hospital. According to BRHC, there are more than 200 volunteers at the hospital, and in 2016, those volunteers gave about 26,000 hours of service, valued at over $600,000.

“We are here to celebrate your tremendous achievements and your impact on Bothwell and the patients we serve,” said BRHC CEO Jimmy Robertson. “Your smiling faces are often the first thing patients and visitors see when they enter the hospital, and you’re often the last people they see when they leave. I am proud of your service, and I hope you know that you make a difference to our patients and our community.”
