Bothwell Welcomes New Doctor to OB/GYN Associates

Bothwell Regional Health Center recently added Dr. Nayera Guirguis to the staff for obstetrics and gynecology care.

According to a press release from BRHC, Dr. Guirguis joined Bothwell OB/GYN Associates. She is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Guirguis earned her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed a residency at University of Louisville, Kentucky.

After her residency, she pursued additional training in minimally invasive urogynecology at Indiana University — Purdue. She then joined Manchester Memorial Hospital, Adventist Health System, in Kentucky, as a generalist OB/GYN. Minimally invasive gynecological surgery offers a lower risk of infection, minimal scarring, decreased blood loss and reduced pain after surgery.

Dr. Guirguis joins Dr. David Oberkrom and Dr. William Smith, in addition to nurse practitioners Fay Evans and Deanna Bingham, at Bothwell OB/GYN Associates located in the Bothwell Healing Arts Center at 3700 W. 10th Street, Suite 100.
