"The Doctor Is In" is a free community wellness program where members of Bothwell Regional Health Center's medical staff give presentations and answer questions. Topics have included heart health, sleep disorders, diabetes and women’s health issues.Do you have wounds that have been difficult to heal? Dr. Jeff Wadley, medical director of Bothwell Wound Healing Center will provide information on effective wound treatment that is convenient and close to home at Bothwell’s next The Doctor Is In program “Why Worry With Wounds?”

The education sessions will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the Bothwell Education Center, 14th and Ingram in Sedalia, and at 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at Bothwell Truman Lake, 1765 Commercial Street in Warsaw.  Participants will learn the common causes, prevention and treatment options of chronic wounds and have the opportunity to ask questions.  Dr. Wadley received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He completed his residency in general surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Bothwell sponsors The Doctor Is In to provide the public with an opportunity to learn about health issues. Both events are free and open to the public.  I got to speak with Paulisa Laughlin, director of Bothwell Wound Healing Center, about the evening and what we'll learn.
