The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri has a new Director of Development.

Cherie Beltran is serving as the new Director of Development. According to a press release from the Boys and Girls Club, Beltran has a background in higher education with a focus on working with community partners and industry leaders. She recently relocated from Ranger, Texas with her two children and husband Jaime, who was recently named the men’s and women’s soccer coach at State Fair Community College.

“I really believe in the mission of Boys & Girls Club and afterschool programs having seen how beneficial they were to my own kids,” she said. “I know how important these programs are for kids, especially academically.”

BGCWCM says Beltran will be responsible for major donor relations, planned giving and helping to diversify funding, and steer the organization toward long-term sustainability.

“We are excited to have Cherie as part of our Boys & Girls Club family, she will undoubtedly be a strong asset not only to our organization, but the Sedalia community as well,” said Executive Director Gary Beckman. “I look forward to her sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience to help our organization excel.”

“I’m looking forward to meeting Boys & Girls Club supporters and learning more about this great organization and community,” Beltran said.
