Bothwell Regional Health Center recently held an Employee Service Awards Luncheon and honored the employee of the year and other personnel.

Jeanne Waters, a licensed practical nurse at BRHC, is the 2016 Employee of the Year.

"Jeanne is known for her flexibility, fine-tuned skills and for welcoming new processes and challenges,” said BRHC CEO Jimmy Robertson. “She displays ingenuity in anticipating and meeting unexpected situations. In short, she is a highly respected and extremely valuable member of our health care team.”

BRHC also named its 2016 Nurse of the Year and Nursing Support Person of the Year during a National Nurses Week reception. Kim Perez was named Nurse of the Year. She is a registered nurse in clinical education and also works in BRHC’s Critical Care Unit. Perez was also named Nurse of the Year in 2012.

“Kim is a nurse everyone respects and is an example of what an excellent nurse is – caring, compassionate and extremely competent,” according to the press release. She was praised as an excellent mentor and role model in promoting cooperation and team work throughout the hospital.

Karen Wienberg, a certified nurse assistant and ward clerk at BRHC, was selected Nursing Support Staff of the Year. In her nomination, Wienberg was praised for her professionalism, knowledge and helpfulness. “Karen is definitely an asset to this hospital and to anyone who has the pleasure of working around her."
