Bothwell Regional Health Center will partner with First Baptist Church to sponsor a 'Community Baby Shower' on Saturday, October 7, to assist expecting-mothers and families with toddlers - up to 3-years old.

The baby shower is scheduled to take place at First Baptist Church, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

According to a press release from BRHC, the baby shower will include presentations on prenatal care, postpartum care, nutrition, and tongue-tied newborns.

Information tables will be staffed by representatives from Katy Trail Community Health, Pettis County Health Center, Safe Sitter, WIC, BRHC, Birthright, Early Headstart, and Baby Café.

BRHC noted there will also be private lactation consultations and bra fittings, as well as car-seat checks.

“This is a great event, with outstanding speakers, community services and prizes,” said Lana Kelly, director of Women’s Health at BRHC. “I am very excited to showcase BRHC and the excellent care available for moms and babies in such a fun atmosphere.”

First Baptist Church is located at 200 E. 6th Street, in Sedalia.

BRHC says the first 150 families to arrive, will receive a “goody bag,” with items from various community partners. For more information, click here.

Babysitting services will not be available at the event.
