A two-person fatality accident that occurred on Main Street east of Quisenberry Road in Pettis County at 5:41 p.m yesterday afternoon (Sept. 4). The accident occurred as 33-year-old Eric Evans was driving at a high rate of speed and crested a hill. The vehicle then traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. The vehicle overturned several times, before striking another utility pole and coming to a rest.

Two passengers in the vehicle were pronounced dead on scene by Pettis County Coroner Robert Smith and were identified as 22-year-old Bonnie Osburn and 24-year-old Christian Osburn, both of Windsor. Evans was listed as being in serious condition and taken to University Hospital in Columbia by ambulance.
