Car Show Produces $10,433.14 for Sedalia DARE Program
The Sedalia DARE program was officially presented with a check for $10,433.14 at Monday night's City Council meeting, which represented the results from the 26th annual DARE Car Show, held April 2 in downtown Sedalia at the Municipal Building.
Shown presenting the check in the middle is Bob Hiller and accepting the funds are Sedalia Mayor Stephen J. Galliher, left, and Sedalia Police Chief John DeGonia, right.
The event also included a silent auction, a live auction and a pie auction, as well as several pedal cars on display. Visitors to the car show voted for their favorites by placing money in plastic containers attached to the vehicles.
