Sedalia Police arrested two people after a traffic stop just before 2 a.m. Friday at 713 E. Broadway.

According to a report, the car was stopped due to a brake light out. A computer check of the driver, 21-year-old Christopher A. Byrd of Sedalia, revealed he was driving while suspended and was placed under arrest and in a patrol car.

The passenger, meanwhile, was found to be wanted on a Pettis County warrant for 1st Degree Burglary. He fled on foot, but was quickly apprehended by Officer Schnell.

Both were transported to the Pettis County Jail. Byrd was booked and released.

The passenger, 27-year-old Emmanuel R. Reeders of Sedalia, was charged with felony resisting arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Stolen Property. He was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges.
